So now we find ourselves in
Autumn! I shouldn't be surprised, it happens this time every year and despite the elephant in the room, it has been a
corking summer!
The swallows really captured my imagination and have been the source of inspiration for a few paintings over the last couple of months.
Many of them going to new homes as a result of our last open studio. 'Evening dance' above can be seen
this Saturday 3rd October 10-5 during our open studio at bullmillarts!
In line with Covid guidelines we shall be operating a one way system and ask all visitors to wear masks.
I'm also rather excited by this piece, hot
off the easel. 'The story of the
murmuration', 36x60cm painted on an old cupboard door and embellished with gold leaf. Certainly a quirky piece that
will appeal to lovers of the unique! The original brass handle is left in place. I like to think the wood gives
the feel of a window, the story of the murmuration is your view...
So having mentioned the changing
seasons... I'm now going to
make myself very unpopular and mention the dreaded C word (the one that ends in mas, in case you were thinking of another!). It is a
while off but if anyone is thinking of commissioning or reserving a unique gift, I'm taking orders!
'Hodur'. Oil on aged wood panel. 58x27cm.
And what of Nick I hear you say? Well he has been a very
busy boy, 'Acquilerea' below can be seen this Saturday and he has started a new drawing
project. 'A gap in the market' , to celebrate 40 years as a professional artist he is revisiting
the work he produced for his graduation show based around Salisbury market! These will be for an exhibition in fishertonmillnext year!
'Acquilarea'. Acrylic on canvas 680x850 cm. Nick Andrew
